Maranguka – Letters of Support
Maranguka is here to support our community. If you need a letter of support for housing, a job, a background check, or something else, we will help where we can.
When we can write a letter for you
We can write a letter of support if:
- You have been involved with Maranguka over time
- We know you well enough to speak honestly about you
- We have worked with you in a meaningful way (as a client or partner)
What the letter will include
Our letters will only include:
- Things we genuinely know about you from our work together
- Your character, your engagement with our service, and any positive actions we have seen
- Honest and accurate information (we will not exaggerate or guess)
When we might not be able to help
We may not be able to write a letter if:
- We don’t know you well enough
- We are unsure about the accuracy of the information
- The request is inappropriate
- Staff feel uncomfortable or pressured to write the letter
If we can’t write a letter, we will try to connect you with another service that may be able to help.
Approval process
All letters of support must be reviewed and approved by the CEO before they are sent. This helps make sure the letter is appropriate and trusted.
What we need from you
To help us support you, please:
- Give us enough time (at least a few days if possible)
- Tell us what the letter is for (job, housing, etc.)
- Provide any details we may need (such as the organisation name or deadline)
