Yanmali will be more than a childcare centre. Families will be able to get support, join playgroups and cultural programs, and see health workers, all in the one place. It’s built on Aboriginal community-controlled principles.
A place where our kids and their families feel safe, supported, and proud of who they are.
The first thing you’ll see walking into the Centre is art.
Big screens in the entrance and the foyer, designed by local people.
Maranguka is asking artists from Bourke for designs. The ones chosen will be laser cut into galvanised panels. There will be several, each one 2.4 metres high and a bit over a metre wide.
An Expression of Interest will be out in the next few weeks.
If you would like to submit your designs, watch out for that or contact us!
