Key Findings From Our 2025 Bourke Show Survey

When the gates opened at the Bourke Show 2025, Maranguka Community Hub offered more than fireworks and family fun—we offered every show-goer a voice. By swapping the usual admission fee for a quick community survey, we heard directly from more than a hundred residents and visitors about the issues that shape daily life in Bourke.

The responses reveal a community united on the fundamentals: relief from rising living costs, more opportunities for young people, better access to mental-health support, and the continued celebration of Aboriginal culture. These insights will guide our work with the Bourke Tribal Council, service providers and government partners as we develop programmes that are truly community-led.

Explore the full results in the link below and see how your feedback is already informing decisions that aim to make Bourke an even safer, smarter and stronger place for everyone. Together, we’re turning local voices into lasting change.
