Maranguka Early Childhood and Parenting Working Group

The purpose of the Early Childhood and Parenting Working Group is to improve the lives of Aboriginal children aged 0-5 Years.

The focus of this Working Group is:

  • 3- year old health screenings – to allow time for young people to arrive at school early ready to learn 
  • Offered capacity building – to early childhood worker in two local agencies so that local community members can effectively engage in telecare and support families in between allied health appointments
  • An Allied Health Subgroup – an allied health subgroup has been formed to broker solutions to issues that arise due to the lack of local allied health
